Who Is Dreaming

Who Is Dreaming

Kate Jarvik Birch

A koi fish emerges from a glass of water, its vibrant form suspended in a moment of stillness, as if caught between reality and dream. The delicate watercolor washes and soft edges evoke a sense of quiet introspection, inviting the viewer to ponder the boundary between the tangible and the ethereal. This piece captures the serene beauty of a single, fleeting moment, where the fish's vivid colors contrast with the cool transparency of water and the muted background, creating a visual metaphor for the dreamlike state of being.
